I have a passion for helping the geriatric population of the Florida panhandle and their families.  From day-to-day errands, to helping plan best approaches in care management, I know what a relief it can be to have someone on your side who has gone through the steps before.

I am a Certified Dementia Care Specialist (CDCS) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  I graduated from the University of Missouri and Washington University in St. Louis with undergraduate and graduate degrees in social work in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

I was selected for a residency with the United States Air Force from 2012-2013 for my post-graduate education and training. Subsequently, I held three concurrent positions at Minot AFB as a therapist in the mental health clinic and was the ‘Officer in Charge’ of the Family Advocacy and Disaster Mental Health Programs.

Thereafter, I accepted a position with the Department of Veterans Affairs in California, as the ‘Medical Foster Home Program Coordinator,’ where I facilitated placement for veterans to smaller long-term care homes of three or less residents who required assistance for their personal care needs and could no longer remain safely in their homes. Shortly after, I was afforded an opportunity to work with the United States Secret Service as one of four Employee Assistance Program Specialists for the entire agency. This position provided short-term counseling for employees dealing with social and occupational stressors. Lastly, for the past 3+ years, I returned to the VA in 2018 where I worked in the Geriatrics and Extended Care Department as the ‘Homemaker/Home-Health Aide Coordinator.’ In this role, I coordinated non-skilled, personal home care for older veterans.

After over a decade of education, training, and select placement in many government roles I chose to resign from Federal service and serve older adults and their families privately after identifying many gaps in service that are not provided in their communities or in government programs.
